Canopy Shower Filter Review: Great Design, Real Results?

Quick Verdict

Canopy has exceptional design and strong branding, but in the independent testing we reviewed, it only reduced chlorine meaningfully, underperforming Jolie and Weddell in broader contaminant removal. If design is your priority and chlorine is your only concern, Canopy is a reasonable choice. For better performance at a similar price, choose Jolie. For verified filtration, choose Weddell Duo.

What We Found

Canopy markets its filtered showerhead heavily on hair and skin benefits. The design is genuinely excellent: minimalist, available in multiple finishes, and well-built. The filter replacement subscription service is convenient. However, when we reviewed independent testing data from waterfilterguru.com and qualitywaterlab.com (who conducted third-party panel testing), the Canopy only showed meaningful reduction in chlorine. Other contaminants were not reduced at the levels Canopy's marketing implies.

This does not make it a bad product. If chlorine is your primary concern (which it is for most municipal water users), the Canopy delivers. But you are paying a design and brand premium for filtration that is similar to or less than what the AquaBliss SF220 delivers at a lower price.

NSF certification: Canopy is not NSF 177 certified. The only currently certified shower filter in our testing pool is the Weddell Duo. We always verify NSF claims at nsf.org before reporting them.
